$25 self-pay counseling sessions? It started with awareness of a problem. Then two people had a conversation about that problem. How do we create greater access to mental health care? Garden Refuge NFP Counseling Center and Be Strong Mental Health are providing accessible, quality counseling services to the community. Practicum students will be providing the counseling.

At this point in their education, graduate students have already acted as counselor for real people struggling with grief, chronic physical illness, family issues, relationship issues and more. These masters level students are also under supervision. What that means is that the treatment they give is reviewed by both an experienced, clinical counselor from the community, and a counseling professor from the university, all while your information remains anonymous. If you have questions or doubts about the ability of masters level students to provide quality care, you should read some of the research that has been done.
